Timeline and shooting schedule
This is my current time line which includes all the dates i need to follow in order to get the product finished by the deadline date. On the timeline you can see that the dates are all separated by a one week long gap. This is to ensure that i have enough time in order to complete each task before starting and going onto the next task. The dates you see on the timeline are the dates when each thing needs to be finished by ideally to have it completed by the deadline date.
As you can see the recording parts will take place from the 04/12/20 to the 11/12/20. This gives me a week in order to get shots i am happy with to the edit during the following week. However if something goes wrong i do have a contingency in place, this is to make the week after editing available for any takes that need polishing up or re taking to make the final product as close to perfect as possible.
Risk assessment
I have filled in a risk assessment form in order to show what risks i could be at when filming my documentary and how i can overcome them when shooting.
Proposal
To CMP media
For my culture project I will be creating a documentary to show case filmmaking culture in the digital age showing how it has changed over the years from before the digital age to the modern time (after / in the digital age). I have planned a schedule on a timeline so i can keep organised and on time with my project. The timeline is simple to understand and read as it is a simple layout and design. I will talk about a variety of things from the history of the camera with examples such as Louie Le Prince and Thomas Edison and their small battle in creating the first functional camera. From there I will show how it started to expand and how the availability of filmmaking has evolved over the years with examples being cameras such as DSLRs and phone cameras then explain how editing software's are now more readily available to more and more people. I will also be going into detail about some of the well known filmmakers make their films with and without the digital age. I will include examples such as Alfred Hitchcock and Steven Spielberg along with some key examples of their work and how they have used digital age to their advantage. I will go into detail in order to get my messages across clearly and also so that people can understand the facts I am telling them. My documentary will show people how the digital age has helped the filmmaking industry and helped people create better films and end results. Everything from the equipment used to the software used to edit it all together will be explained. This is to give people the best knowledge and explanation to what i am telling them.
